📈 Total Return (the headline number)

The real ROI of holding the fund — price change plus the dividends it paid out:

Total Return % = (End Price − Start Price + Dividends) ÷ Start Price

We show this over 1Y / 3Y / 5Y, alongside Price Return (price only, no dividends). The gap between them is the income contribution — which for high-yield funds is most of the story. Charts use dividend-adjusted closing prices so the line reflects full return, not just price.

💰 The Income & Cost Columns

Yield — the fund's trailing annual distributions ÷ price, as reported by the fund. (High yields can include return-of-capital — always read the fund's own breakdown.)

Ann Income* — an estimate: Yield × your hypothetical investment. A planning number, not a guarantee — distributions vary.

Expense Ratio — the fund's annual fee, straight from the provider. Lower is better; it's deducted from returns automatically.

AUM — assets under management (fund size). Bigger generally means more liquidity and less closure risk.

📐 Price, NAV & the Rest

NAV — net asset value, the per-share worth of the fund's holdings.

Prem / Disc = (Market Price − NAV) ÷ NAV. Trading above NAV = premium; below = discount.

Freq — distribution frequency (Monthly / Quarterly / Weekly).

Category & Family — strategy type (Covered Call, Dividend, Bond, Sector…) and issuer, for filtering and comparison.

Volatility (Performance tab) = annualized volatility from ~90 days of daily returns (standard deviation × √252). Lower % = steadier, higher % = bigger swings. 🟢 <20% · 🟡 20–40% · 🟠 40–60% · 🔴 >60%.
